ミグランテ・ジャパンは殺害されたフィリピン人女性の正義を訴える
海外出稼ぎ労働者に対するアロヨ政権の犯罪的黙殺を弾劾する

ミグランテ・ジャパンは２２歳のフィリピン人女性、ハニーフィット・ラティリア・カミオオサワが陰惨なかたちで殺害された事件を弾劾する。４月４日、東京都港区のあるマンションで切断された彼女の遺体が発見された。わたしたちは正義が彼女と彼女の家族にもたらされることを要求する。
最近だけでも、もうひとりのフィリピン人女性が８歳の子どもと一緒に、日本人の夫に殺害されるという事件が起こっている。また、つい昨年にはあるフィリピン人女性が、同居する日本人パートナーに灯油をかけられたうえ身体に火をつけられて焼き殺されている。
わたしたちは仲間であるフィリピン人に対して犯されたこれらの凶悪犯罪を弾劾する。こうした犯罪は文明社会のものではなく、「オーバースティ」に対する政府の継続した取り締まりを正当化するために滞日外国人が犯罪者として描き出されているなかで起こっているのだ。
わたしたちはハニーフィットがこんなにも早く、そして残酷な状況のなかで彼女の人生を終えなければならなかったことに憤っている。彼女の死は、わたしたちフィリピン人移民の苦境、私たちが移民先の日本でどれだけさまざまなかたちの暴力と虐待にさらされやすい状況にいるのかをあらためて思い起こさせる。
アロヨ政権はハニーフィットの死、そしてわたしたちや故国にいるわたしたちの家族を含む多くのフィリピン人の苦難を受け止めなければならない。わたしたちは経済運営を誤り、統治に失敗し、大規模な汚職にまみれ、全世界のフィリピン人移民を犯罪的に黙殺し続けているアロヨ政権を非難する。
最後に、わたしたちはハニーフィットのご家族、そしてフィリピン人移民に対して犯されたすべての凶悪犯罪の犠牲者のご家族のみなさんに心からの哀悼の言葉をささげる。わたしたちは移民の権利のためにたたかい続け、フィリピン人に対して起こったすべての犯罪の犠牲社の正義を追求し続けていく。

MIGRANTE-Japan Cries Justice for Murdered Filipina
Blames Arroyo for Criminal Neglect of OFWs
(MIGRANTE-Japan's statement on the April 3, 2008 murder of Honiefaith Ratilla Kamiosawa)
MIGRANTE-Japan condemns the gruesome murder of Honiefaith Ratilla Kamiosawa, a 22-year old Filipina whose body was found mutilated in an apartment located in Tokyo's Minato district on April 4, 2008. We demand that justice be served for the victim and her family.
Only recently, another Filipina was murdered by her Japanese husband along with the couple's 8-month old baby. And late last year, a Filipina was almost burned to death when her live-in partner, also a Japanese, poured kerosene over her body and set her on fire.
We condemn these heinous crimes committed against fellow migrant Filipinos because these crimes have no place in a civilized society, and they happened at a time when foreign migrants in Japan are being portrayed as criminals to justify government's continued crackdown on "overstays".
We are outraged that Honiefaith's life had to end this early and under such horrible circumstances. Her death reminds us of our plight as migrant Filipinos and how vulnerable we are to various forms of violence and abuse in the host country.
Honiefaith came to Japan to escape poverty in the Philippines. It is now ironic that what she deemed would help uplift her economic condition would also be the cause of her untimely death.
We hold the Arroyo government for Honiefaith's death and for the sufferings of many ordinary Filipinos, including migrants like us and our families back home. We blame the government for mismanaging our economy and failure in governance, for massive corruption, and for the criminal neglect of migrant Filipinos around the world.
Finally, we condole with Honiefaith's family and the family of other victims of heinous crimes committed against overseas Filipinos. We commit ourselves to continue fighting for migrants' rights and to pursue justice for all victims of crimes committed against the Filipino people.###
